I'm back!

OK, the hiatus is over.
One of the questions I get is why would I leave Longmont for Amarillo. The answer is simple -- money. Longmont has become unaffordable. Amarillo is very affordable. My family's survival pretty much hinged on relocation. I hope someday that we can return, but Amarillo makes a good home for now.
After being here a while, one thing has become quite clear to me. The Liberals have taken over both Longmont and Boulder County. They have taken the state as well, but that won't manifest itself until the next election. Just watch, you'll see. Even the Times-Call has been subverted from within. I no longer consider it a conservative paper. Don't get me wrong, I love the Lehmans and the people who work there, but the tone of the paper has become very liberal in the past couple years.
But enough about that. I'm through looking back. Amarillo and the Globe-News is where I am now. It's been an adjustment, but I enjoy the challenge and like the people I work with.
We have a new church that we just love. It's Paramount Terrace Christian Church. We have joined the Kings Couples Sunday school class. They have been great and very welcoming. A bunch of them helped us unload when we moved, and they didn't even know us then.
The kids are doing well. Wesley is in fourth grade at Wolflin Elementary School. Luke is in preschool at Coronado Elementary School. Colton is 3 and acts the part very well. Heather is living with her mom for now in Minnesota. I miss her terribly and look forward to her coming out this summer.
Sandy is enjoying being a Texan again. While we miss all our friends and family in Colorado, we are very happy with the friends we are making here.
